Report on 16th Annual Open Exhibition October 2017

This was another successful exhibition with 145 exhibits.  Exhibits covering paintings, photographs,sculptures and craftwork from people of all ages living or working within a five miles radius of Bridge. Local schools contributed two attractive hanging banners.  For more information see the website: (www.artinbridge.org.uk).

Refreshments were available and visitors were encouraged to sit and talk. There were presentations by Sue Pratt the chairman of the Canterbury Evening Art Society, one of this year’s sponsors.

ArtInBridge-Phoebe-02-crop-1Gift tokens generously donated by Cowling and Wilcox,Canterbury, were awarded in a draw to two artists, one junior, eleven years and under and one senior up to the age of eighteen years. The junior prize was awarded to Phoebe Hodges and the senior to Amelia Johnson, who could not be present to collect her prize.

It was a successful weekend which was due to the many talented exhibitors and loyal helpers.
